The Madeira Senior Dance Association, formally designated Associação Exemplos Wises, will hold its International Festival on the 5th of June, from 10:30, at the Praça do Povos, Funchal.
This annual event is a moment of celebration and sharing, bringing together elderly people from all over the island of Madeira who are part of the Senior Dance project.
According to the organisation, for the first time, this year’s festival will include international participants, which reinforces the inclusive and multicultural character of the initiative.
“In an atmosphere of celebration, conviviality and movement, this meeting promotes active aging and the well-being of the senior population, through dance as an expression of vitality, socialisation and joy,” states a press release.
