Mid-morning today, a cement block fell from the top floor of a building and landed on the Penha d’Águia da Ajuda esplanade.
The block smashed its way through a parasol on the terrace and hit the tray of an employee. The impact was so great that the bottles and glasses on the tray were projected outwards, injuring customers sitting close by.
Five minutes later, another cement block fell, hitting another table.
