Following the absence of the President of the Regional Government at the parliamentary hearing on the fires, the Secretary-General of the JPP, Élvio Sousa accuses Miguel Albuquerque of being “afraid” to go to parliament and admit the truth.
Taunting, Élvio Sousa, asks the President this:
“Are you afraid to go to the Assembly? Why? Is it because he knows that he made serious mistakes, despite continuing to sell the ‘success strategy’ while dozens of families, terrified and suffering, spent sleepless nights and days while he holidayed in Porto Santo?”
For the JPP, The President’s decision to submit a written response means an “immeasurable lack of respect,” calling for people to be attentive, and be aware of risky behaviours of those who should know better.
