The Period of submission of requests for payment of support for beekeeping, within the scope of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy (PEPAC Madeira), is open. Beneficiaries must submit the respective payment requests through the IFAP Portal: www.ifap.pt, before the 31st of July 2026.
According to a press release, “Support for Beekeeping is an agri-environmental support measure for beekeeping, for three years, which has as its aim to ensure more demanding and cost-effective prophylactic practices than those provided for in the specific legislation, with a view to improving hive health and, consequently, the quality and quantity of the honeys produced.”
The support, which varies between 70 and 1,200 euros/year, according to the declared and eligible hives, will benefit 86 beekeepers, at a cost of approximately 16,400.00 euros. 98,940 euros will come from EAFRD and 17,460 euros from the Regional Budget.
