Music in the Museums

The Town Hall of Funchal re-opens tomorrow, the 26th of June, with a concert by Triola at 7 pm as part of councils 'Music at the Museums' project.  The concert will be broadcast on the Museu Cidade do Açúcar Facebook page. 

Lack of Decisions Costs Lives

The mainland government came under further criticism from the President of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, this week for their failure to control the continued outbreaks of  Covid-19 in some of the poorest regions of Lisbon, saying that he considers the recent increase in cases in Portugal is due to the lack of control by health units and “right decisions” by the national government.

Moo’ve Over

It was a bull earlier in the week that caused a commotion, and today, a cow was seen strolling along the streets of Funchal, namely, at the  Praça da ASSICOM roundabout on Estrada Monumental, causing both consternation and concern to pedestrians and motorists alike.  Apparently, the cow comes from Areeiro, São Martinho.
