Clarifying that this would be a clean energy complementary to what is already done in the Region, in terms of renewable energies and the electricity grid, the head of the company expressed her availability to study the implementation of this renewable source on the island.
To journalists, the President of the Regional Government admitted this possibility, with Madeira being able to become a pilot region in this area. However, he clarified that the prospect needs studying.
The statements were made on the sidelines of the conference, ‘The importance of renewable gases in the energy transition – gas as an engine of Regional development.’ The conference is taking place at the Electricity Museum – Casa da Luz.
