Stranded Passengers Catch Ferry to Madeira

A majority of passengers of the three aircraft diverted to Porto Santo this afternoon, due to winds affecting the operationality of the Madeira International Airport, will travel to Madeira using the Porto Santo ferry.

It is not the first time that the Porto Santo Ferry has been used as a ‘bridge’ between Porto Santo and Madeira. Earlier this month, when the Region was plagued by several storms, the ‘Lobo Marinho’ was the ‘salvation’ for many tourists, enabling them to finally arrive in Madeira.
