Bad Weather Returns

While speaking to JM reporters, IPMA delegate Ricardo Tavares confirmed that a passage of cold air will bring precipitation to the Region from tonight. The meteorological conditions are expected throughout the early hours of tomorrow morning and day, although heavier rain is forecast on the north side and mountainous areas of the region.

Wind speeds will intensify on the north side of the island, and gusts are expected to reach up to 85km/h across the highlands.

Temperatures are predicted to drop between 2 and 3 degrees throughout the Region as a result of the cold front. However, this will be more noticeable in the mountainous area, and snow may fall by the end of tomorrow.
