Following the adverse weather forecasts, Casa do Povo de São Roque do Faial was forced to cancel their initiative ‘Búzios Announce the Arrival of the New Year,’ which was scheduled for New Year’s Day at 07:00, at Pico do Areeiro.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Casa do Povo said:
“We apologise to those who intended to join us in an initiative that had been gaining fans in recent years, but worsening weather conditions will make it impossible.”
