With the arrival of Christmas, MadeiraShopping has several festive experiences prepared for the whole family, which include Father Christmas and the right amount of magic to thrill and entertain young ones.
Father Christmas officially arrives on the 30th of November at 11:30 and has a “street” through the corridors of the Centre. On the same day, from 15:00 to 19:00 Father Christmas will receive all children and families who want to take pictures, talk to Father Christmas and deliver their Christmas letters.
Over the next month, the most iconic figure of this time of year will be present on December 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th and from December 20th to 23rd in the Central Square, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00.
“A Brilliant Christmas Gift” is one of the musicals that promises to delight the little ones and takes to the stage a story full of magic and fun. The characters, the Clumsy Postman and the Snowman, have a very special mission: to deliver a unique gift to the Christmas Girl. And along the way, they come across a Genie of the Lamp.
With fun moments, contagious Christmas songs, and a message of friendship and solidarity, this piece will transport families to a world of dreams and magic on the 30th of November at 11:00 on Floor 0.
The experiences provided by the Centre do not end here. From Saturday, the 30th of November, MadeiraShopping’s Father Christmas Kitchen brings the traditional seasons smells and flavours to all Madeirans. Ingredients such as cinnamon, honey, tangerine, and cloves will create a wonderful Christmas smell.
This initiative will take place, on Floor 0, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, on the 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th 23rd, 27th, 28th, and 29th of December.
On the 14th and 15th of December at 11:30 MadeiraShopping hosts another musical: “O Diário da Isabelinha,” on Floor 0. The theatre tells the story of a girl who finds her first diary and relives a special memory of Christmas Eve, in which her brother André discovers the importance of playing with toys, in balance with new technologies.
To bring more magic, the powerful voices of the Grupo Coral do Estreito, directed by the Maestro and soprano Maria Ferreira are part of the Christmas of all Madeirans and will be present at the Centre, on the 18th of December at 19:30 on Floor 0.
