Wind speeds reached more than 100 km/h in the eastern part of the island. The highest value was recorded in Caniçal/Ponta de São Lourenço, with 114 km/h, followed by Santa Cruz/Airport, where gusts reached 106 km/h.
In the sheltered basin of Funchal, winds still reached speeds of 70 km/h as recorded by the Funchal Observatory at 04:10. In Cancela, they reached 85 km/h, and in São Martinho (COM/ZMM), 83 km/h.
Please note that the island is still under several weather warnings.
