Today was the inaugural United Airlines direct connection between New York and Madeira.
With three flights a week – Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday until September (although depending on its success, this could continue longer), United Airlines is using a Boeing 737 MAX 8, with 16 Premium PlusSM seats, 54 Economy PlusSM seats, and 96 Economy seats.
The flight landed this morning at Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo, at around 09:00, with 114 passengers and departed carrying 116 onboard.
