The green corridor at Madeira International Airport is now open to tourists who have been either vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19, and who present a 90-day proof of validity.

This afternoon 17,500 Covid -19 vaccines arrived in Madeira. The vaccines will be stored at Madeira's International Airport overnight, and then transported to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital tomorrow morning. They are scheduled to arrive at the hospital at 9 am.
Following the genetic analysis of samples taken from passengers arriving from the UK, as requested by the Regional Health Directorate, one of the samples taken is said to contain the presence of the new UK, SARS - CoV-2 strain.
