Associação Womaniza-te Website Launch

Established in 2020, Madeiran Associação Womaniza-te, will launch its website at 6 pm on the 22nd of May.  The aim of the website is to gather information on dating violence, so that the association can support and educate young girls many of whom may either be subjected to, or believe that violence in a relationship is normal (There was a recent study which showed that 7/10 girls thought relationship violence was acceptable.) 

New Taxi Driver Vaccination Stickers

In a customer confidence initiative, TaxisRam management has stated that all Madeiran taxi drivers need to display a visible sticker in their vehicles confirming the date of their Covid-19 vaccination. Which, according to the President of the Taxi Drivers' Association, Paulo Pereira will provide additional security and confidence to all taxi customers.  

Raids in Caniçal

Several houses in Caniçal were raided this morning, leading to several arrests, including that of a bar owner, who according to residents has been dealing drugs from his premises for years.

Savoy Residence to be Completed by Mid 2023

Victor Sousa, from AFA Imobiliária, the director of works for the new Savoy Residence Insular has proudly presented the fact that the building work, which has already stared on the new Savoy hotel, is completely 'different from what has ever been done in Madeira before, both in its position and construction,' and by doing so, the group hopes to create a new centrality to Funchal.
