Just after 9:40 this morning, the much anticipated TUI direct flight from London Gatwick to Porto Santo arrived carrying 130 passengers. Marking the occasion the Municipality of Porto Santo did not delay in sharing their joy via their social network pages, simply saying ‘Welcome Back.’
The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800 can carry a maximum of 189 passengers.
During May, SATA will also resume flying to Porto Santo using an Airbus A – 320, and in June flights from Denmark and Italy are expected to start, with TAP increasing the number of their scheduled flights to the island in July.
Madeira International Airport also saw the arrival of seven international flights today.
