The Vice President of the Regional Government, Pedro Calado, spoke at the opening of a workshop titled ‘Legionella – Prevention Measures in Design, Operation and Maintenance of HVAC Systems and Water Networks,’ organised by the Regional Delegation of the Order of Engineers today, who warn that with the reopening of hotel units, it is essential that all water and air conditioning systems are thoroughly serviced to avoid any possibility of a legionella outbreak, which as the Vice President succinctly put it, was the last thing that Madeira needed!
