Missing Man Search Continues

Despite everyone's best efforts, the search for the missing man, which has been hampered by strong winds and rough seas, have proved fruitless.  So today, the search will be based on land. Although air operations have been suspended, rescue teams are using areas of high ground as observation points.  

Thieves Caught in Stolen Car

The Regional Command of the Madeira Public Security Police (PSP) has confirmed that they have arrested two men aged 38 and 40 years old for stealing a vehicle and goods ranging from mechanical and electrical tools, electronic devices, and clothing among other things, which they were preparing to sell on to someone else. 

‘Enjoy What You Have!’

Responding to pressure to further relax curfew hours and allow restaurants and bars to open for longer, the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, categorically stated that he does not expect to extend the opening hours of restaurants and bars anytime soon, although he did admit that the population had complied with the new curfew hours over the weekend.
