In a press note he said that "we have learned that Vasco Gil's kennel and cattery in Santo António has yet to be given legal status and is located in an area of trees and scrub which places all the resident animals and staff at considerable risk."

Tuca a 10-year-old female 'Golden Retriever,' has been missing in the Ponta Delgada area since the 11th of July. The NRP Andrómeda hydrographic vessel and crew recently assisted the Hydrographic Institiute by collecting a 'wave buoy' located in the protected marine area of the Selvagens (Savage) islands.
