Last night’s Funchal Market Night registered a total of 20 occurrences typified as pre-hospital emergencies, within the scope of the Market Night 2025 Events Coordination Post.
According to the official balance, there were nine situations of alcohol poisoning, six cases of sudden illness, two falls, one man was run over, one eye injury, and one cut were recorded.
In total, 13 occurrences resulted in the transport of the victims to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.
Regarding the hit-and-run, the victim was a 19-year-old man who was hit at around 20:10 on Avenida do Infante, in Funchal. The occurrence mobilised the Funchal Fire Brigade.
The young man suffered a fracture in a lower limb and was transported to the emergency department.
