The Funchal City Council has announced that, due to the adverse weather conditions, the Christmas Village in Praça do Município will remain closed until Tuesday, the 16th of December.
The storm has knocked down trees, ripped tiles and solar panels off roofs, wrecked padel centres, shut down a supermarket, and disrupted several roads throughout the region.
