In a statement, the National Maritime Authority confirmed, that a high-speed vessel was recovered today, the 9th of December, off the north coast of Porto Santo.
“Following an alert received at 09:30, informing of the existence of a partially submerged vessel near Fonte da Areia, the Captain of the Port of Porto Santo coordinated the recovery operations of the vessel,” the note said.
Upon arrival at the scene, the elements of the local Command of the Maritime Police of Porto Santo confirmed, with the support of the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) and the GNR, found that it was an unregistered high-speed vessel. The vessel was towed to the Porto Santo marina where officers from the Maritime Police, GNR, and Judicial Police, took charge of the situation.
