The Government of Madeira has confirmed in the Official Journal of the Region (JORAM), that the current curfew restrictions, including home deliveries times and working conditions will remain in place until the 29th of March. The curfew is from 7.00 during the week and 6 pm at weekends.
The measures will come into effect from 00:00 tonight and last until 23:59 on the 29th of March, and aim to control the current spread of Covid-19 within the region. At the moment there are 588 active cases, and a total of 8,105 people have registered positive since the first case in March 2020.
The response to the news has been mixed, while some have praised the actions of the government, others are asking if we will ever get out of the cycle of curfews and restrictions.
