As a special tribute to maestro Eurico Martins, the Madeira Mandolin Orchestra will be performing in the Noble Hall of the Legislative Assembly of Madeira at 21:00 on Wednesday, the 18th of June.
This concert is part of the maestro’s birthday celebrations, which are celebrated on the 17th of June. The programme has been arranged to be a celebration of his life, his music, and his legacy.
In a statement, the event organisers state:
“Maestro Eurico Martins was the great promoter of our Institution, and his death in December 2014 left a deep and lasting mark on the culture and musical training of the region. This musical tribute aims to perpetuate his memory and continue the work he has developed over the decades.”
