This April was the ‘blackest’ this year on Madeiran roads.
In total, there were 296 accidents, which resulted in approximately 100 injuries and one death.
May has also not started well with the death of a cyclist in Funchal.
So far this year, there have been 1,149 road accidents, averaging ten accidents per day.
