The President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque, launched harsh criticism against Juntos Pelo Povo (JPP), implying that they are part of a “anonymous complaints brigade threatening the stability of the island and which have given rise to a series of high profile investigations by the Judiciary Police (PJ) and the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP).
The statements were made at a particularly tense moment in this morning’s debate, at the time of the presentation of the Government 2025-2029 Programme.
Without specifying names, Albuquerque addressed the JPP party directly as well as JPP Deputy Paulo Alves, who was speaking at the time.
