This morning, between 00:00 and 09:00, the region’s weather stations recorded temperatures of -0.1°C in Pico do Areeiro and 1.7ºC in Chão do Areeiro.
According to forecasts from the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), the snow may last until Thursday.
