Bad Weather Affects Flights

Operations at Madeira International Airport were affected this morning by strong winds that prompted a weather warning from the Portuguese Institute Atmosphere and Sea.

Since midnight, gusts have already exceeded 100 km/h at the Santa Catarina/Airport station.

Three aircraft were affected while the Ryanair flight from Lisbon, which was scheduled to arrive at 08:15, was forced to return to the Portuguese capital.
