Iberia Air Winter Schedule

Spanish airline Iberia is already preparing its winter operation (between October 2024 and March 2025) to Madeira.

The news was announced today by representatives of the company to the Regional Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Eduardo Jesus, as part of Madeira’s participation in ITB, the largest travel fair in the world, which takes place in Berlin until tomorrow.

During the meeting it was confirmed that the company’s summer operation is “perfectly consolidated”, and Iberia is “very satisfied with the demand that has existed for the various operations made available to the Region.”

It should be recalled that Iberia’s seasonal offer is operated by Air Nostrum and currently includes operations (summer period) originating in Barcelona, Malaga, Santiago de Compostela, Bilbao, Malaga, and Valencia (the latter two new in 2023) and also the operation to Madrid which, since October 2022, is operated annually (previously it operated only in the summer period). From next July, the airline, again through Air Nostrum, will connect Madeira to Seville, on another seasonal route. The connection will run from the 9th of July to the 10th of September 2024, with a total of 10 weekly Tuesday flights.

At the meeting held this morning in Berlin, Madeira Tourism and Iberia were already preparing for next winter’s operation, as well as negotiating a communication and promotion strategy for Destination Madeira in the various origins of the air connections operated by that company. “The Spanish market continues to be on the list of issuing markets as a priority in communication and promotion actions,” says Eduardo Jesus.
