SESARAM Cyberattack – We’re Back in Track

The Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, who visited the newly renovated Achadas da Cruz Health Centre today, said that Madeira has made a series of commitments that allow us to have a vision of what the regional health system should be. He also assured that, following the cyberattack, all information has been recovered, except for the radiology unit.

“We have 47 years of autonomy. Let us compare the Regional Health Service to the National Health Service. We are a beacon of light in comparison.” Stated Pedro Ramos.

“We are opening vacancies for doctors to respond to the National Health Service,” said Pedro Ramos, who went on to say that ‘global health for all does not imply having a service open to all for 24 hours.’ What we need, are more doctors.

Concluding, he said that a new doctor has been assigned to look after the 132 residents registered with the Achadas da Cruz clinic.
