15 Madeiran Charities Supported by Continente Mission

This Christmas, Mission Continente will support 15 Madeiran institutions. One for each Continente, Continente Modelo, and Continente Good Morning operating in the archipelago, as part of their fight against hunger.

The support will be made through their campaign ‘Gifts to the Table’ which will assist a total of 328 institutions nationwide, in addition to their support of the Food Emergency Network.

The campaign is taking place in the mainland and online store, through the sale of solidarity vouchers priced at 1€ and 5€.  The campaign will run until the 8th of January 2023.

Fifty percent of all monies raised will go to the Food Emergency Network (REA), and 50% to the local institutions supported by the store. In this way, customers support REA – which operates on a national scale – as well as the local institutions, contributing directly to communities and their inhabitants

The Food Emergency Network is a nationwide response based on food banks, which supports thousands of people and families in vulnerable situations. The 328 institutions identified aim to combat hunger and poverty.

The new Mission Continente solidarity campaign is further supported by the Portuguese Football Federation, the Portuguese Association of Nutrition, and the National School of Public Health.
