Qurantine relief

The Regional Director of Health updated the recommendations of isolation of positive cases and quarantine of contacts, within the scope of covid-19. Considering the dominance of the Ómicron variant, which is less severe but more transmissible, the information says: ” if the individual does not present symptoms or if the symptoms are resolved during this period, the minimum period of isolation is 5 days. In the following 5 days, the use of a mask is necessary (with the minimum filtration capacity of a surgical mask). If the individual has symptoms, isolation should be maintained until the symptoms disappear”, the document reads.

Those who are vaccinated and with a booster dose, are exempt from isolation, having to wear a mask for the next 10 days, with no need for quarantine.

In exceptional situations, the health authority can determine the isolation for up to 10 days, based on the risk assessment.
