GNR Continues Search for Polish Tourist

The Republican National Guard (GNR), will continue their search for the Polish tourist, who went missing more than a week ago, in the mountainous region of Calheta. The brother of the missing man has also organised several drone searches within the locale.

GNR Second in Command, Marco Nunes, has confirmed that they have based their ground searches mainly in what are considered ‘high risk areas, ‘ and while talking to local newspaper, JM, he said “so far there has been no trace of the missing man, and the mountain search and rescue teams will continue to look for him provided it does not interfere with the GNR’s day to day commitments.”

In addition, the Public Security Police and the Judicial Police are trying to piece together the man’s life from the moment he landed at Madeira International Airport.
