1,200 Families in Santa Cruz Receive Food Aid

As part of their social outreach project, the Santa Cruz City Council has started it’s 5th food basket delivery phase, to help those families affected either directly or indirectly by the pandemic.

Unfortunately, the number of people needing help is still significantly rising.  In the first phase, 508 families were covered; in the second, 625; third, 754; and during the fourth phase 1093 families received aid.  However, due to the seriousness of the situation, a 166 families had to receive supplementary aid.

The programme started in May 2020, and now supports more than 1,200 families.
