From the 1st of November, Madeira will have two more hotels will come on line, bringing the total to three. The new hotels are the Madeira Terrace Mar and Pestana Bay Hotel.
The decision was made at 1.30 this afternoon (28.10) at a meeting held by the Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture, IASAUDE and hotel groups.
Furthermore, hotel owners will pay now IASAÚDE all payments made by tourists who test positive for Covid on their arrival in Funchal. The idea is to help support the costs incurred by the Government, and the hoteliers agreed to the new stipulation.
Tourists will not be responsible for paying part of the additional expenses.
