The Regional Health Department reported today that another 40,950 vaccines from pharmaceutical company Pfizer, have arrived in Madeira.

Today, the 19th of January, one hundred firefighters from different municipal fire departments and members of the Portuguese Red Cross (CVP), who are responsible for transporting either positive or suspected Covid cases were called forward to receive their first Pfizer vaccination.
The first five people to be vaccinated were Adérito Delgado (ambulance crew), Ana Patricia da Silva, (operational assistant) João Caires (nurse), Pedro Balza (doctor) and Ludovina Teixeira (technician).
