Missing Vaccines Arrive

The missing 5,850 Pfizer vaccines arrived in Madeira last night. The vaccines will remain in storage at the airport and will be delivered to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital tomorrow morning (15.02).

Please note, that these vaccines will be administered according to the Health Authority Vaccination Programme.  However, with the sporadic nature of the vaccine arrivals, many, including an 82-year-old man from São Martinho are beginning to question whether they are ever going to be vaccinated and have a chance of living a ‘normal’ life.

When approached by journalists, a spokesperson for the Regional Secretary of Health, stated that the new vaccination schedule will be published tomorrow and should answer any questions that people have.

There are currently eleven thousand over eighty-year-olds living in Madeira, who have been told that their group vaccination process will take place in a series of stages.
