Currently, Madeira is waiting for a consignment of 10,000 AstraZeneca vaccines.
A further 46,800 doses of the Pfizer vaccine are expected to arrive in May, which will be followed by another large consignment consisting of 76,050 Pfizer vaccines in June. These will be further supported by approximately 30,000 Johnson and & Jonson vaccines, which will also arrive in June.
The Regional Governments aim is for 50% of the population to have received their first vaccination by June.
