Passenger Saved by Crew and EMIR

A man aged between 55 and 60 suffered a heart attack while boarding a plane at Madeira Airport today.

According to JM, the passenger suffered a heart problem, was unconscious, and was fading fast. While waiting for the airport medical team and paramedics, members of the plane’s crew began resuscitation manoeuvers, managing to resuscitate the man.

With the Santa Cruz Fire Department and EMIR team on site, the victim was stabilised and transported to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça hospital. According to a hospital source, the man was under observation in the emergency room, but is said to be in a critical condition.
