It was a busy late afternoon yesterday in the seafront bar and restaurant area in Paul do Mar.
It all started with a disagreement between a Madeiran couple and a foreign citizen, which quickly evolved into physical, intense, and repeated aggressions, despite the attempts of several witnesses to put an end to the confrontation.
The Public Security Police was asked to assist at around 20:00, and a team of agents immediately went to the scene.
The reasons that led to the conflict are not yet known, and according to a police source, no complaints were filed, and no injuries resulted from the incident.
