Due to the New Year’s Eve celebrations and the fireworks show, the Funchal City Council informs that temporary changes will be implemented to road traffic, parking, public transport, taxis, and tourist transport from December 30th to New Year’s Day.
The measures will cover several parishes in the municipality, with a special focus on downtown Funchal, high areas, and the main access routes to the city.

The operational coordination of the changes will be under the responsibility of the PSP, which will restore normal circulation “as soon as the conditions of road safety and urban cleaning are met.”
The Funchal City Council appeals “to the understanding and collaboration of all drivers, recommending compliance with the temporary signage installed and the instructions of the authorities on the ground”.
