The PSP seized 1866 doses of drugs in Funchal, in two operations carried out as part of their fight against drugs.
According to a statement, the police operation, carried out within the scope of ongoing criminal proceedings, involved police officers from the criminal investigation squad who executed house search warrants targeting two different suspects.
In total, 1366 individual doses of ‘hashish’ and six “cannabis” plants weighing about 1kg and 200 grams were detected and seized, which, according to the PSP, would be “sufficient for the preparation of 500 individual doses.”
Concluding, the Regional Command of PSP Madeira alerts the population to the harmful effects on health that come from the use of synthetic narcotic and/or psychoactive substances that enhance serious behavioural changes.
