ADN-Madeira, through its candidate and veterinarian, Carolina Martins, warns of the importance of a scheme known as ‘Veterinary Check.’ This has been available since 2018 through the Order of Veterinarians, but is not being implemented across the regions’ municipalities.
This veterinary support programme can cover care such as vaccination, sterilisation, emergencies, and various treatments for animals belonging to low-income families.
The party criticises the lack of protocol with CROs and calls for the immediate implementation of the programme, which can help vulnerable populations and promote animal welfare.
