The five people arrested last week have appeared in court for aggravated kidnapping, offences to qualified physical integrity, illicit recordings, and aggravated threat, perpetrated against a 25-year-old man.
A woman and a man aged 24 and 29 are the main suspects in the case ,and they have already been presented in court and remanded in custody.
The three remaining accomplices, aged 19, 22, and 29, appeared this morning in Funchal Court, where they were also denied bail and will stay in prison until their trial.
The victim was lured from his home by the woman and was then kidnapped and pushed into a car. He was held captive for three hours, where his tormenters punched, elbowed, and beat him with an iron bar and a baseball bat. He was then stripped naked and left in a wooded area of SĂŁo Roque do Faial”.
