PJ Investigation: Albuquerque says “I Know Nothing”

Miguel Albuquerque refused to speculate on the sudden arrival of 60 Judicial Police (PJ) officers this morning. Speaking to journalists he said “I’m not going to comment on anything, I don’t know anything. I’m here, as you can see and I don’t really know anything.

Local news outlet, JM reported first-hand, that a team of PJ personnel landed late this morning at Madeira airport, aboard a Portuguese Air Force plane.

It is estimated that there are about 60 personnel who will conduct the investigation on regional soil, a substantially smaller number than the one that surprised Madeira at the end of January, but still large, indicating the realization of several avenues of investigation in a process that remains unidentified.

This comes after Correio da Manhã reported that a company operating out of the Madeira Free Trade Zone was selling weapons on behalf of the Ministry of Defence.
