Despite successive warnings about the imminent danger, several tourists were photographed today messing about in the Cascata dos Anjos, Ponta do Sol. So much so, that one tourist was photographed standing on top of one of the protection barriers.
In January this year, a tourist died after falling 30 metres from a cliff top next to one of the waterfalls. In addition, many visitors have complained of being hit by falling stones from the escarpment.
The authorities have issued several warnings about the dangers due to landslides and falling rocks, while tourists believe that it will never happen to them!
