The Regional Health Service has launched its AppSESARAM mobile app for health service users.
AppSESARAM is part of SESARAM’s digital scanning and transformation strategy, as an alternative channel of communication with users. This technological solution integrates the application ecosystem and connects with the SESARAM User Portal and the Institutional Portal to provide, in a near and real-time way, digital services and useful information, updated and personalised to users.
Among the services available, is the ability to book both doctor and nurse appointments, even those who do not have a family doctor can request an appointment. Furthermore, youngsters and university students can also request appointments.
In AppSESARAM the user finds his digital identifier SAUDE@ID, whose QR code allows to make automatic registration of presence, for consultation or examination, in the reception of the External Consultation of the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça and, for now, in the health centres of Bom Jesus, Santo António, Machico, Caniço and Câmara de Lobos. In due course, this app will be available in other health centres across the island.
Other features of AppSESARAM include the Digital Vaccine Bulletin, updating user contacts (phone and email), consulting upcoming schedules, episode history, clinical references, and clinical documents. Average waiting times for care in hospital emergency services and urgent care in health centres can be consulted, as well as the most recent SESARAM satisfaction surveys and news.
AppSESARAM was fully developed by the SESARAM Computer Center, is bilingual (Portuguese and English), and can be downloaded from both the App Store and Google Play Store.
