Today was a bad day at the airport as poor visibility created havoc as seven aircraft were diverted, and eleven flights were cancelled.
Cancelled flights included: two from Lisbon, Norweigan Air (DY 1784) from Oslo, a Ryanair flight from Lisbon (FR1227), Transavia, (TO 7758) from Orly, two EasyJet domestic flights from the mainland, and two Swiss International flights from Geneva.
As of 17:07, the airport began to return to normal, and the following flights were able to land:
Edelweiss Air, which had diverted to Porto Santo.
TuiFly X3 2806 from Frankfurt at 5:07 p.m.
TP 1697 Lisbon.
TuiFly X3 2846 (Munich), at 17:24 and 17:39 (Stuttgart).
