A foreign citizen claims to have been raped by a man she met during a night out.
The incident took place on Saturday morning in Funchal. According to newspaper, JM, the foreigner met a group of boys, one of whom offered to give her a lift home.
Once in the car, the girl found it strange that the driver was going to her friends’ homes first. Already alone with the boy, who was behind the wheel, the woman revealed to the Public Security Police (PSP), that she was violated and left on the public road. She was then rescued by the Portuguese Red Cross (CVP), and quickly transported to hospital where she remained under observation.
The Public Security Police (PSP) have opened an investigation into the case.
