Today, a 58-year-old French tourist fell approximately 5 – 7 metres while walking along Levada do Norte.
Luckily, this incident was far less severe than the one that happened last Thursday, when a French tourist fell 50 metres while walking along Levada do Risco, Rabaçal, and died from his injuries.
Local media outlet, JM reported that the injured man was able to walk, albeit weakly, where he was met by officers from the Ribeira Brava Fire Brigade. He was then transported to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital for treatment.
As yet no details of the man’s injuries have been released.
