A 25-year-old French tourist, who had been missing since Sunday in a mountain area between Três Paus à Viana and Curral das Freiras, has been found.
The searches began yesterday by the Volunteer Firefighters of Funchal, with support from the Volunteer Firefighters of Câmara de Lobos. However, due to weather conditions, the operation was eventually suspended at 03:00.
Searches resumed at 07:00 this morning, involving eight elements of the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters, and the man was safely rescued.
